Deploying on OpenStack and private IP ranges

Supporting private IP ranges was implemented with the support for Docker and essentially meant creating a self-signed certificated authority and not using the security groups which are meaningless in that context.

With OVH support for private network (provided on creates a vRack first), it is also possible to create servers that have no public IP. Which may be handy when security is a concern. The self-signed certificate authority works well in this context and makes the web browser happy.
