Today I discussed with people from Arawa, a Nextcloud service provider. They do not run a publicly available Nextcloud instance but recommended La mère Zaclys, an NGO providing free Nextcloud accounts with up to 1GB of storage. An excellent way for journalists to get used to Nextcloud.
The free account does not have data encryption and other resource consuming features. But this can be upgraded by becoming a member of the non profit, i.e. paying a yearly fee to get more features. Interesting non-profit business model.
I’m not sure how robust the infrastructure is, that’s the next step of my exploration.
